Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data the JOLEY.dev website collects, why, and what rights you have. In short: we collect only what you send us through our forms and use it only to reply to you. We don’t use cookies, and our visit statistics are anonymous.
Who is responsible for your data
JOLEY.dev, Studentska 41, 11070 Belgrade, Serbia, is the controller of your personal data. For any question about privacy, contact us at office@joley.dev, +381 61 3006138.
What we collect
When you send us a message or ask for a free website review, we receive:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your website’s address, if you ask for a free review
- what you need help with, when you’d like to start and your budget, if you choose to tell us
- your message, if you write one, and the language of the page you sent it from
- the date and time of sending and your IP address
Like any website, our hosting provider’s servers also record standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) to keep the site secure and working.
To understand how the site is used, we count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It records the page you visit, the site that sent you, your browser, device type and country, and clicks on a few buttons (such as “Start a project”, the chat buttons or sending the form), including which of the form’s project options were selected, but never what you typed. It uses no cookies, doesn’t store your IP address and can’t identify you or follow you across other websites.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To reply to your inquiry or send the website review you asked for and, if you wish, prepare an offer. This is a step you request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; Article 12(1)(2) of the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection).
- To protect the form from spam and abuse, and to keep the website secure. This is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 12(1)(6) of the Serbian law).
- To see, in anonymous and aggregated form, how many people visit the site and which pages help them, so we can improve it. This is also our legitimate interest.
We don’t use your data for advertising, we don’t sell it, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.
Who receives it
Your message is delivered to our own mailbox. Our hosting provider stores it on our behalf and under our instructions. Anonymous visit statistics are processed for us by Umami (umami.is). We don’t share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries: for as long as we need to answer and follow up, and no longer than two years after our last contact. If we start working together, we keep what is needed for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
- Spam protection: to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time, the form stores a one-way scrambled version of your IP address with the time of sending. It is only used for one hour.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider, usually a few weeks.
- Visit statistics: only as anonymous totals (for example, visits per page per day), which contain nothing that identifies you.
Cookies and storage
This website does not use cookies. The only script it loads from another company is Umami’s cookie-free analytics, described above. It doesn’t use advertising trackers, and it doesn’t load fonts from other companies.
If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice locally (in local storage) so the site looks the same next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time, free of charge, to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct or complete it
- delete it
- restrict how we use it, or object to it being used
Write to office@joley.dev and we will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of Serbia (poverenik.rs) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as our clients’ sites, LinkedIn, Instagram and Google Maps. They have their own privacy policies, which apply once you visit them. The same goes for WhatsApp: if you message us there, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
